Bremen Town officials continue to work with FEMA representatives in order to obtain reimbursement for repair costs to the wastewater treatment facility that experienced damage during the February flooding event.
Two to three feet of water surrounded the plant at the height of the flooding event. The furnace, hot water heater, water conditioner and testing material stored at the facility had to be replaced.
A $22,180 claim was submitted to replace electric actuator valves at the plant. FEMA has already approved the project and the money will be reimbursed. The Bremen Town Council members unanimously approved the claim.
Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy told the council that some reimbursement numbers have been agreed upon. They’re just waiting for everything to be finalized.
