A home in Culver is scheduled for demolition.
Town Manager Jonathan Leist updated the Culver Town Council members on the order which is set for Monday, Oct. 15. All of the utilities from 808 Obipso Street were removed a couple of weeks ago and the permits were obtained for demolition. Jackson Services was the company approved to handle the demolition at a cost of $6,800. A lien will be placed on the property in order to recoup costs.
In addition, legal papers were served on an owner of the 27 Group, the company listed as the legal owner of the former City Tavern building at 415 Lakeshore Drive. A court hearing in the matter is set for Dec. 18. Health and environmental issues plaque the building.
