The Marshall County Highway Department is working on more paving projects before the season comes to a close soon.
Highway Supervisor Jason Peters gave the commissioners an update last week on what the crews will be working on to finish the paving season.
“Hickory Road on the north side of the bridge to 7th Road,” said Peters. “We had on our road program one mile in Oak Crest Subdivision and we’d like to finish the year out on 3rd and Birch up on Rentown Road.”
The highway department is also looking at work on the Community Resource Center parking lot as the commissioners agreed to do work there as an in-kind project a few years ago. Peters commented that he thought a lot of concrete work needed to be done there so that project may be on hold for a little while longer. The commissioners will look at funding once that project finally reaches that point.
