Bourbon Town Council Passes Stellar Support Resolution, Commits Funds to Potential Projects

Bourbon Town Council members recently took action to document their Stellar support with a resolution they passed last week.

Town Council President Les McFarland shared that the resolution also indicates if the designation is received, Bourbon would commit up to $125,000 as a local match to offset the cost of the projects they’re hoping to tackle. He said those projects include a housing development to the east of the high school and an economic development project to the north of town, just south of U.S. 30.

Officials in the other entities involved in the Marshall County Crossroads Stellar Initiative have passed similar resolutions.

Argos Town Council members confirmed they would provide $280,000 to help cover the cost of their trail expansion, housing development and sidewalk installation projects.

Additionally, Bremen officials stated they would provide a local match of $600,000 to assist with the town swimming pool and downtown gathering space projects and the Plymouth City Council indicated a maximum of $350,000 would be provided for a proposed permanent supportive housing development.
