Plymouth City Council Approves Resolution Waiving Noncompliance

The Plymouth City Council members opened a public hearing Monday night to take comments on a late filing of tax abatement compliance forms by Pretzels, Inc.

City Attorney Sean Surrisi noted that Pretzels, Inc. is not the only company that has submitted tardy forms this year. In fact, several have and it’s been an unusual occurrence this year. However, all of the paperwork seems to be in order for approval.

After asked by Councilman Don Ecker, Jr. whose responsibility it is to file these reports on time, Surrisi answered that it’s the company’s responsibility.

The public hearing was closed without any further comment.

Later in the meeting, the council approved a resolution that waives the noncompliance of the timely filing of the form regarding tax abatement information.
