Marshall County Council Supports Quest in Regional Stellar Effort

The Marshall County Council members pledged their full support in an effort to reach a Regional Stellar Communities Designation.

The county is a finalist for the regional Stellar designation and will present the projects and information before the state Stellar Communities Designation Program officials on Nov. 15 at 10:30 a.m. in Indianapolis.

The Stellar Committee members have asked the county to submit a letter of support to include in the paperwork for the application. It doesn’t allocate any funds. It’s simply a letter promoting the county as a stellar applicant.

The council approved the action to submit a letter of support.

Stellar Committee member Ginny Bess Munroe recently told the Culver Town Council members that they are still attempting to finalize projects to include in the finalist application. She said there were so many good brainstorming ideas during a recent workshop that they’re trying to incorporate those items in the plans. The application is due in September.
