Two South Bend residents were arrested on several charges after a traffic stop in Marshall County Saturday night.

According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, a deputy pulled over a vehicle in the area of Michigan Road and Tyler Road. During the investigation, the officer reportedly found the driver, 34-year-old Brandon Mortimore, possessed a suspended driver’s license, as well as false license plates on the 2000 Chevrolet Blazer he was driving. The officer also learned that the vehicle was stolen out of South Bend, according to the report.

Police say a pipe was found inside the vehicle which produced a positive test result for methamphetamine. A second methamphetamine pipe was reportedly located 20 feet outside the vehicle in the grass.

A passenger, 39-year-old Frances Bianco, was booked into the jail on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.
