The Marshall County Election Board members took action Wednesday to approve a change to the Vote Center Plan for the upcoming November General Election.
Board member Ralph Huff said he spoke with the National Guard Armory officials in Plymouth who indicated that most of the interior remodeling work is done at the facility, but an upcoming roofing project may take several months. Dumpsters and other equipment may hinder an ordinarily safe environment for voters. It was suggested to not use the National Guard Armory as a Vote Center in the upcoming election.
Instead, the Marshall County Election Board unanimously voted in favor of having the Knights of Columbus building serve as a Vote Center in one side of the building in the November General Election.
That change, as well as the addition of the Plymouth High School as a Vote Center, will be updated in the county’s Vote Center Plan and submitted to the Indiana Election Division for approval.
