Marshall County Commissioners Consider Zoning Change Request

Plan Director Ty Adley presented a zoning change request to the Marshall County Commissioners on Monday from Hensley Fabricating Equipment Company.

The company wishes to expand its operations to a lot across the street on an agricultural lot. The zoning would go from agricultural to light industrial.

The property at 17B Road and State Road 331 near Old Tip Town will feature a new office building and manufacturing building on the south side of the area. They have run out of space within their current facilities.

The Marshall County Plan Commission members previously approved the application with a unanimous vote.

A public hearing on the matter was held during Monday’s commissioners meeting, but no comments were offered. With that, the commissioners approved the first reading of the ordinance to rezone that property. The rules were suspended and they approved the ordinance on second and third readings.
