David’s Courage Continues Preparations for Clients

Work continues everyday in an effort to start offering treatment programs at David’s Courage to help those who are suffering from drug and alcohol addiction.

Co-Founder Ted Hayden said they will host a variety of recovery aspects to help the addict find worth and skills to be a productive citizen.

“It’s going to be an intense treatment program dealing with addictions of all sorts,” said Hayden. “We will provide daily programming that will include faith-based services as well as individual group and family therapy to reunite with family members so when they are discharged they have a support system. It’s anywhere from a 90 to 180 day program. We’ll also provide job coaches, housing, employment, transportation, budgeting skills, and nutrition. Those things will help support looking in the mirror every morning and saying, ‘you know what? I’m ready to go. I have responsibilities and these are my responsibilities today.’”

They are getting counselors in place to facilitate programs at David’s Courage. Hayden said he’s using the knowledge of A New Direction Counseling Founder Dan Franz to put together a staff and how to build on that staff to provide the classes that will be featured.
