Bremen Town officials are taking necessary steps in order to help Marshall County become a Regional Stellar Community Designee.
Marshall County is a finalist for the Regional Stellar Communities Designation Program.
Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy said the town council members approved a resolution that states they will contribute $500,000 toward the town’s swimming pool project and $100,000 toward the downtown gathering space.
If awarded the Stellar designation, the town would acquire a piece of property downtown and develop a pocket park to be used as a gathering space. It would also allow for the town to replace the outdoor pool facility and add a splash pad.
In addition to the resolution, the town council will submit a letter of support toward the project to be included in the overall application that is due in September.
