Plymouth School Board Transfers Unused Capital Projects Money to Rainy Day Fund

The Plymouth Community School Corporation is transferring some unused money into its Rainy Day Fund. Last week, the school board approved a resolution to transfer $150,000 from the Capital Projects Fund.

Business Manager Kandi Tinkey said it’s part of a goal set by the board back in 2016 to build up the Rainy Day Fund to $3 million over the coming years. A similar transfer was approved last year.

The resolution notes that the Capital Projects Fund has a cash balance of over $900,000, with more than $500,000 of that being unused and unencumbered funds.
