Groundbreaking Set for Aquatics Center, MCCF and Early Childhood Learning Center

Plymouth Mayor Mark Senter announced Monday night that the groundbreaking ceremony is set for the community Aquatics Center and the building for the Marshall County Community Foundation and the Growing Kids Early Childhood Learning Center.

The ceremony is Wednesday, July 18 at 10 a.m. at the building site at 2864 Miller Drive in Plymouth. A reception will follow at The Zone Sports Complex at 2923 VanVactor Drive.

Marshall County Economic Development Corporation President and CEO Jerry Chavez commented that the paperwork for all of the funding for the projects passed all hurdles last week. The funding is complex as new market credits are a part of the financing and the City of Plymouth, Plymouth Community School Corporation and Ancilla College are contributing entities. The project has experienced a delay due to the complexity of the funding and the project. The Marshall County EDC has been a driving force behind the project that will benefit the community.

The project is expected to be complete in 2019.
