Three Individuals Arrested in LaPaz After Investigation Reveals Illegal Drug Activity

Three people were arrested in LaPaz on Tuesday, after an investigation revealed illegal drug activity at a home in the 200 block of Michigan Street in LaPaz.

On June 12 at approximately 9:30 p.m., officers from the LaPaz Police Department, the Marshall County Drug Task Force, the Indiana State Police and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department as well as troopers from the Indiana State Police executed a search warrant for a home located at 210 South Michigan Street.

According to a police report from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department,the residence and occupants had been under surveillance and were subject to an investigation regarding illegal drug activity. Upon executing the search warrant order for the residence, 34-year-old Benita Kring, 35-year-old Michael Roark, and 45-year-old Todd Kring were reportedly arrested.

Michale Roark was apparently arrested for maintaining a common nuisance and possession of methamphetamine. Police say that Todd Kring was arrested for visiting a common nuisance while Benita Kring was arrested for visiting a common nusicance and possession of methamphetamine.

In their incident summary, the Sheriff’s Department indicated that a case report will be completed and forwarded to the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
