Survior’s Breakfast and Relay for Life to be Held in Marshall County this Month

Representatives with the American Cancer Society say that the organization considers a person a cancer survivor from the moment of a diagnosis, regardless of the type of cancer or the length of treatment.

In order to honor the brave community members impacted by the disease, a Survivor’s Breakfast will be held on Saturday, June 16th at Christo’s Banquet Center in Plymouth. Each Survivor is invited to bring one guest. Registration will begin at 9:45 a.m. and the breakfast will start at 10.

To RSVP for the Survivor’s Breakfast, you must turn in a reservation form on or before Friday, June 8th. The application contains the address where it needs to be sent.

Marshall County’s Relay for Life will also be held that Saturday. It will be at River Park Square and this year’s theme is “Carnival for a Cure.”

The event will begin at noon and it will run until midnight. There will be two special laps honoring Survivors. One will be at the opening of the event and the other will take place during the lumin aria ceremony at dusk.
