Public Hearing Over Future Drainage Project at Westview Court in Argos Deemed a Success

A public hearing over a proposed drainage improvement project in Westview Court was held by the Argos Town Council last Wednesday.

Town Superintendent Jamie Lindstrom and a representative from Weasler Engineering provided residents with a tentative timeline and showed them some changes that will be made to help improve drainage in the area to address consistent issues with flooding.

Clerk-Treasurer Lisa Mullaney said that the hearing was brief but residents seemed pleased that officials are actively working to address the problem.

Mullaney noted, “The citizens were grateful that the Town was finally listening and trying to do something.” She added, “We did tell them that construction on the project probably would not start until later next year.”

Officials will continue coordinating with residents of the subdivision as planning continues and the project progresses.
