The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety reviewed a Memorandum of Understanding between the city and the Plymouth Community School Corporation concerning elements of the Lincoln Junior High School construction project.
City Engineer Rick Gaul explained that the document puts responsibility of the school corporation to follow the drainage plan and the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan.
Gaul noted that the school opted to do the Memorandum of Understanding paperwork instead of a financial guarantee. The city has entered into this type of agreement in the past with the school and Gaul said the arrangement has worked well.
With Gaul’s recommendation, the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members approved the Memorandum of Understanding as presented.
