A public hearing was held earlier this week to gather comments on the grant application submitted by the Marshall County Council on Aging for a piece of equipment.
Director Jackie Wright explained that the organization needs to replace a vehicle.
“We’re applying for a lift-equipped vehicle through INDOT,” said Wright. “It is an 80/20 split. The vehicle is $53,000 and we’re applying for $42,400 through INDOT.”
The 20 percent match is available.
No public comment was heard.
The Marshall County Commissioners voted unanimously to grant the Marshall County Council on Aging to pursue the grant.
