The Plymouth Redevelopment Commission members received a project update on the upcoming Aquatics Center construction.
City Attorney Sean Surrisi said all of the necessary papers have been signed by the Plymouth City Council, Plymouth School Board and Ancilla College. The closing date on the bond financing is expected to happen today (Thursday, May 17). Within the next couple of weeks, Surrisi noted that the closing of the new market tax credits will take place.
Plans were approved by the state and they are now in the hands of Plymouth Building Commissioner Keith Hammonds. Surrisi added that a variance was granted by the Indiana Department of Homeland Security so a sprinkler system would not need to be added over the pool.
The drainage plan was approved along with the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan. The lot was re-platted as approved by the planning commission and a variance for parking.
The Plymouth Redevelopment Commission could discuss a groundbreaking ceremony at their next meeting in June.
