Plymouth City Building Renovation Project Sees Delay

Plymouth City Building

It will be a few more months before the Plymouth City Building will reopen to staff and residents.

Tyler Kelsey from RQAW told the Plymouth Redevelopment Commission members on Tuesday evening that things are progressing more smoothly.

“The drywall is up on the second floor, paint is up and ceiling grids are in,” reported Kelsey. “I’d say overall the second floor completion is give or take 80 to 85 percent.”

The elevator is in and that part of the project is about 80 percent complete, but the completed result won’t be seen for another eight weeks.

The first floor is about 60 to 65 percent complete while the roof is complete.

A progress meeting is scheduled for this morning (Wednesday, May 16).

The anticipated completion date is now Aug. 1. The initial completion date was in June.
