Argos Officials to Hold Public Hearing Over Westview Court Drainage Upgrades

Argos officials have hired the firm Weasler Engineering to assist with consistent drainage issues at Westville Court.

Clerk-Treasurer Lisa Mullaney explained that there have been problems with flooding in the subdivision ever since it was constructed.

“Westview Court floods a lot, it’s in a low lying area and it doesn’t have adequate drainage.” Mullaney explained, “With the school parking lot, a lot of times the water will come down from the parking lot right into that subdivision.”

When Argos Town Council members met this month, they were informed that an informational meeting will be held next month to alert residents of Westview Court about the planned drainage system improvements.

She stated, “We hired some engineers and they came out and they came up with a plan and we think that it’s really going to benefit the citizens out there so on June 20th at 6:30, there will be a public hearing.”
