Flood Repairs Complete at Bremen Wastewater Plant

The damage caused by the February flooding event at the Bremen Wastewater Treatment Plant is now repaired.

Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy said some reimbursement money was provided by FEMA for items covered under the town’s insurance. The furnace, hot water heater, water conditioner and testing material stored at the facility had to be replaced.

At the height of the event, Weldy said 10 dumpsters were available to residents to discard drywall, carpet and all items that came into contact with flood waters. All of the dumpsters were full when they were collected a few days later.
