The officials behind David’s Courage, Inc. program are working to get things ready to start hosting addiction programs for those who are seeking a life without drugs and/or alcohol.
County Attorney Jim Clevenger told the Marshall County Commissioners this week that they are working on facility changes to accommodate the transition at the Shady Rest Home on Lincoln Highway in Plymouth. Clevenger noted that the transfer agreement between David’s Courage and the county is expected to be signed by Ted Hayden and Gregg Erickson. A closing date has yet to be set.
In previous discussions, Hayden and Erickson said they will be installing about $30,000 worth of security cameras and surveillance equipment to ensure safety. The facility is also undergoing maintenance checks in an effort to prepare the Shady Rest Home for residents.
David’s Courage, Inc. will provide addiction counseling services to participants as recommended by the Marshall County Community Corrections program. All other interested parties will be carefully screened before entering the program.
