Triton School Board Members Approved a Number of Items During This Week’s Meeting

Triton Superintendent Jeremy Riffle shared that school board members approved a number of items on their agenda when they met Monday evening.

He mentioned that an activity bus will now be added to the Triton School Corporation’s fleet as a part of the school’s bus replacement plan. The vehicle will be purchased from Kerlin’s Bus Sales for approximately $48,000 after applying the cost of a trade-in.

Members also approved a list of items for the FFA auction that will be held in April. Superintendent Riffle said the list included various odds and ends such as desks, chairs and other unneeded supplies. He added that all the money raised at the auction will go to the FFA group.

Additionally, members approved a few make-up days. Triton students will now need to attend class on May 29th, May 30th, May 31st and June 1st. Riffle said that as long as no more school is missed, the make-up days will not impact graduation which is scheduled for Saturday, June 3rd.

On the calendar for the 2018 school year, an alternate date is listed on June 10th, just in case school officials need to add on any additional make-up days.
