Plymouth Board of Public Works and City Council Members to Meet Tonight

Members of the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety will appoint a representative to the plan commission when they meet tonight at 6 p.m. ET.

The new appointee will be replacing Shawn Grobe on the commission. Members will also consider award affirmations for the spring street, sidewalk and surface treatment project bids.

Members will hear an update from City Engineer Rick Gaul, Street Superintendent Jim Marquardt will present a sidewalk list for the ADA transition plan and City Attorney Sean Surrisi will discuss the Bowen Printing property sale.

Immediately following the BOW meeting, Plymouth City Council members will hold a meeting where they will hold a public hearing over additional appropriations.

Members are expected to vote on resolutions pertaining to those appropriations later on in the meeting. An update from the fee schedule subcommittee will be provided as well.

An ordinance authorizing the City of Plymouth to issue taxable economic development revenue bonds and notes and an ordinance allowing the city to create a fund entitled “East La Porte Street Footbridge Grant Fund” will be considered on second and third readings.

Both meetings will be held in the Plymouth Fire Department meeting room at 111 N. Center Street.
