Construction on the Hickory Road bridge over the Yellow River in Marshall County will begin Monday, March 26.
To accommodate the planned construction, Hickory Road between 7B Road and 8B Road will be closed through a tentative date of July 7. The proposed detour utilizes 9B Road, Fir Road and 7th Road.
Crews are currently working to clear trees as the deadline to complete that task is April 1.
Laurie Johnson from DLZ previously told the commissioners that Grand River Construction, Inc. will be doing the work on the bridge. They were awarded the contract in the amount of $1,184,454.87.
