Triton School Board Approves the Sale of Obsolete Parts from Bus Garage

After ridding the bus garage of obsolete parts, the Triton School Corporation received more than $700 from the sale of the unneeded items.

Superintendent Jeremy Riffle explained that a new transportation mechanic was recently hired. He went through the garage to clear up some space and make the area more efficient. Riffle explained that various items that were no longer of any use to the school corporation were found.

Riffle said, “There were obsolete mirrors for the buses that no longer work on the buses that we currently have, there were brake parts, old seat backs and things like that. I mean, there were a plethora of different little items but that was basically the bulk of it.”

Rather than throwing those parts out, Riffle said they were able to sell them to a local trucking company for a total of $750.
