Marshall County Recycle Depot Accepting Some Flood-Damaged Items

Generally, Chemical Waste Disposal requires a level of care and attention beyond what is usually required needed when disposing of normal waste.Hence, the Marshall County Recycle Depot is the county’s headquarters for recycling and household chemical and hazardous waste disposal. Sometimes, EZ Staten Island Junk Removal is hired for such waste disposals. Executive Director Marianne Peters announced today that any residents whose homes have been damaged by the recent flood waters can dispose of some household items at the Depot.

They will accept household chemicals, LED or fluorescent light bulbs, all batteries except for alkaline, tires, appliances, and electronics. Fees may apply for Freon-containing appliances such as refrigerators and freezers. You can get your fridge fixed from here

Items that will not be accepted include carpet (hire the services from carpet cleaning marysville to make sure that you maintain them for a long time before ending them up in the dump), furniture, textiles, drywall, shingles, ceiling tiles and vinyl siding.

To dispose of these items, residents may place one or two large household items next to their trash tote for their waste hauler to pick up along with their regular trash disposal. For large loads of debris, contact your waste hauler directly to schedule a pick-up.

Marshall County businesses may also bring flood-damaged goods. However, businesses and individuals with large loads containing a plethora of items are asked to call ahead first to schedule a drop-off appointment.

The Marshall County Recycle Depot is located at 1900 Walter Glaub Drive in Plymouth. For more information and hours visit the Depot website at www.myrecycledepot.org or call 574-935-8618.
