Marshall County officials will not need to make any cuts to this year’s budget.
Marshall County Auditor Julie Fox informed the county council members last week that she received the budget order from the state and there were no cuts to be made.
Fox did note that the Marshall County Historical Society’s line was reduced by $26,316 due to a negative line in an operating balance. The state said it was not enough for the projected revenue. Fox explained that she talked to the Department of Local Government Finance and the officials indicated that it was an oversight. The budget is approved as advertised.
Fox added that the county’s revenue recorded on Dec 31, 2017 for all funds was $90,301,101.62. The expenses for the county totaled $88,088,601.24.
