The Marshall County Commissioners took action last week to approve extended hours for the purposes of tax collection as requested by Treasurer Angie Birchmeier.
“On behalf of the treasurer, auditor and assessor’s office, we’ll have staff in all three offices, for the spring tax collection, we’re looking at Saturday, May 5 from 9 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, May 9 and Thursday, May from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.,” said Birchmeier. “For the fall collection, we’ll be open Friday, Nov, 9 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday Nov. 10 from 9 a.m. to noon, and Tuesday. Nov. 13 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.”
Birchmeier noted that the fall tax collection deadline is delayed to Nov. 13 due to the Veteran’s Day observance on Monday, Nov. 12.
The offices are located in the Marshall County Building at 112 W Jefferson Street in Plymouth.
