The Bremen Town Council members took action Monday night to approve two contracts with Umbaugh and Associates for upcoming utility projects.
Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy said one contract is for storm water utilities and the other contract will be for a study of utilities for a proposed annexation project north of town.
Weldy previously stated that five parcels of property may be annexed for the Southwire company. The property is located between U.S. 6 and the town. The company plans to expand operations in that area. Weldy said that the town would like to incorporate that land into the town, but a proposed annexation agreement may not be presented until November.
