The Culver Town Council members approved the lowest bid received for the proposed Damore Amphitheater project in the Culver Town Park.
The lowest bid was from Easterday Construction in the amount of $131,450. Town Attorney Jim Clevenger will review the construction contract before Council President Ginny Bess Munroe signs the document.
The construction of the project is expected to begin once all of the documents are signed. The substantial completion date is May 15, just in time for the Memorial Day weekend for activities in the Culver Town Park.
The plans for the Damore Amphitheater call for a covered stage and four rows of tiered grass seating with concrete retaining walls to be constructed in the Culver Town Park. Additional open seating areas would be available around the stage and under trees.
