Officers from the Plymouth Police Department recently completed an Operation Pull Over (OPO) event that netted arrests and citations for various offenses.
Police Chief David Bacon says between Nov. 10 and Dec. 3, 2017, five Plymouth officers worked 49 hours and conducted 98 traffic stops. Officers arrested five people for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Four people were arrested for license-related arrests or citations. Ten speeding citations were given along with 103 warnings.
Chief Bacon noted that Plymouth officers joined agencies throughout the state including Marshall County in this enforcement program. Funding is provided for officers to work traffic enforcement above and beyond normal tours of duty to increase safe family travel in the state.
