Local businesses in the newly founded Discover Argos collaborative will be hosting a unique holiday contest in the near future.
On Saturday, December 9th participating businesses will begin handing out “passport cards” according to committee chairperson Judy Richards, the owner of the business Timeless Treasures.
She said each business will have a hidden theme related to the 12 days of Christmas. For example, one store will be given the theme of a partridge in a pear tree, another will have five golden rings, and so on and so forth. Customers will have to locate the theme in each store and get their card stamped.
Richards shared, “At the end of that you will turn that card in and we will draw a name from those and somebody will receive a prize.”
She added that all completed passports will need to be turned in by January 9th in order to be eligible for the prize. The drawing will take place on January 13th. She said the prize could be an item from one of the retail stores, a gift card or something else depending on what the business owners decide to put together.
Some of the businesses included in the Discover Argos group are Timeless Treasurers, Connie’s Cottage, Country and Primitive Blessings, ReTagged and RePurposed Just for You, Ink Style Tattoo Studio, Ameri-Can Engineering and the Nest Health and Fitness Studio.
