Six Marshall County Community Correction clients recently completed Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT).
The group was recognized in a ceremony in Marshall County Superior Court No. 1 with Judge Robert O. Bowen presiding on Wednesday, Dec. 6.
MRT seeks to reduce recidivism among adult offenders while increasing moral reasoning in a systematic treatment strategy. It addresses elements from a variety of psychological traditions to address ego, plus social, moral and positive behavior growth.
Marshall County Community Corrections Director Ward Byers said it’s had a great impact in changing criminal thinking. He attributes that to collaborative working relationships within the criminal justice partners in Marshall County.
