The Bremen Town Council learned this week that the property that once included a Clark gas station at the corner of State Road 106 and State Road 331 is now cleared.
Director of Operations Trend Weldy said the project has been ongoing for a while.
“The old Clark station, the gas station, has been completely torn down,” explained Weldy. “The canopy and the pumps are out of there. We’re waiting for IDEM now to come and take out the tanks. That should happen in the first week of November. That total eyesore will be gone. What are going to do with the property? We don’t know.”
At one time, the Bremen School Corporation approached the town about putting an information sign at that location. When the proposal was discussed in September, the town would go in with the school with the cost of the project. Again, no final decisions have been made.
