Last Monday, the Argos School Board received a report from architect Greg Drennan of LWC, Inc following a recent building and site review.
Drennan and representatives from the architecture firm recently conducted a walk thru and assessment of the school’s facility. Drennan reported that while looking at the general condition of the building and sites, there were no major issues found.
He did say that he discussed a few drainage issues he noticed with board members. He also mentioned that as far as lighting goes, the school has already done a great job replacing their existing interior and exterior lights with more energy efficient LED options that improve the overall look of the building. Drennan said from here, it is really up to the corporation and the board to decide what kind of renovations, if any, that they’d like to have the company do.
No official actions were taken during the meeting but Superintendent Ned Speicher suggested that the board take into account the architect’s report and the matter will be discussed again at a future board meeting. Drennan said he will most likely revisit the board members in the next couple of months once they’ve reached a more definitive decision.
