U.S. 31 Project Remains on Schedule

The U.S. 31 repaving project remains on schedule, according to Northwest District INDOT Media Director Doug Moats.

He says U.S. 31 from 13th Road to State Road 10 is experiencing intermediate paving and crossovers are complete. Traffic is anticipated to be switched from the driving lane to the passing lane at some point today.

Moats says crews will begin milling the driving lane tomorrow. Underdrains will be installed below the driving lanes for the next two weeks. That work will be done at night.

In the next three to four weeks, railroad crossing replacement and restoration work on U.S. 31 will commence. The traffic pattern will shift to accommodate that work.
The project remains on schedule with completion in early November.
