Triton Schools Receive Funding from Multiple Sources

Triton Community Schools are starting the year off with some extra money thanks to a recent successful fundraiser as well as a beneficial new partnership with Kosciusko Community Hospital.

Last weekend community members were able to assist Triton schools, simply by getting behind the wheel and test driving cars. Auto Park Ford in Bremen hosted the fundraiser and provided $20 per driver to the school. Many people took advantage of opportunity to take a new set of wheels out for a spin, earning Triton approximately $5,000 to go toward clubs and student activities.

Aside from the thousands collected at the fundraiser, Triton is also receiving assistance from the Kosciusko Community Hospital. Superintendent Donna Burroughs spoke about the long-term partnership and how it will benefit the school.

“Our new sponsor, Kosciusko Community Hospital, they’re giving us the gift of $150,00 over the next ten years to be used for any school purpose we have a need for,” said Burroughs.

The school and hospital marched together during the summer fest parade to announce the partnership and a presentation regarding the collaboration is scheduled to take place during the Triton home game on Friday.
