More than $2,000 Raised by Bremen Public Schools During Test Drive Fundraiser

Back in October, Bremen Schools participated in a ‘Drive 4 Ur School’ fundraising event sponsored by Auto Park Ford.

More than 100 citizens came out to test drive some of the new vehicles and for every test-drive $20 was donated to the school. The fundraiser resulted in $2,080 being collected.

Superintendent Dr. Jim White explained that the money will be going toward the Publication Club which is responsible for putting together and dispensing yearbooks.

Superintendent White said that in the past, the club ran into the issue of ordering a specific amount of books and some of those ended up not being purchased by students. That resulted in the club taking on a little bit of debt. Dr. White said this donation will allow the club to get “back in the black” and still have plenty of funds left over for future uses.

Drive to Benefit Bremen Schools this Saturday

Tomorrow members of Marshall County not only have a chance to test-drive a new set of wheels for free, but they can also help assist a school corporation within the community simultaneously.

At Auto Park Ford in Bremen from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. anyone over the age of 18 with a valid driver’s license can test drive one of the vehicles and $20 will be donated to the Bremen School Corporation for each vehicle driven.

The test drives are limited to one per household. When Triton Schools did this same program back in August they, were able to raise approximately $5,000 for various school expenses and student activities.
