The U.S 31 and State Road 17 projects in Marshall County are moving along.
According to Northwest INDOT Media Relations Director Doug Moats, work on State Road 17 south is nearly complete. Crews are bump grinding sections of the road for smoothness. Painting of pavement markings and striping should be done in the next two weeks.
Work on U.S. 31 in the Argos area is moving slowly. Moats says crews are dealing with drainage and subsurface issues which has put that project slightly behind schedule.
The U.S. 31 resurfacing project is bundled with the State Road 17 project. Crews have been moving back and forth from both projects to keep on schedule. The U.S. 31 portion of the project should be complete on Nov. 8.
