Four businesses in downtown Bremen are actively seeking to apply for the town’s matching façade grant program.
Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy said the matching grants are $5,000. The business owners are getting contractors lined up for the proposed projects this fall. Weldy said 10 companies originally wanted to sign up for the program, but only four are actively going through all of the process to complete projects.
In addition to this attempt to beautify the downtown area, Bremen Community Cares and the owner of H&R Block are going to put a mural on the side of the company’s building in the plaza. The mural will focus on images of landmarks visitors should see while they’re in Bremen. Quotes are being gathered for the project.
