Plymouth School Board Discusses Bond Resolution for Building Projects

The Plymouth Community School Board held an additional appropriation hearing prior to the regular school board meeting on Tuesday night to gather public comments on the proposed bond to help pay for the corporation’s maintenance and improvement projects.

There was no public comment.

Superintendent Andrew Hartley said the appropriation of the bond proceeds need to be approved before the funds are spent.

The board then approved the bond resolution which includes information on the amount of the bond, maximum term of repayment and the maximum interest rate, among other factors.

The school board will be utilizing $2 million in bonds to pay for projects including paving, site work, LED lighting and the HVAC equipment.
