The John Glenn School Board approved textbook rental fees this week.
Fees reflect the purchase of science textbook adoption and technology fees. New science textbooks hadn’t been purchased in 12 years. Teachers and administrators have found that teaching with both the digital component and textbooks enhance learning. Not all students learn as easily with just a textbook or use of a technology device.
All grades at the school corporation will participate in the one-to-one computer initiative this year. New computers were purchased with a new lease at a lesser rate than in previous years.

Kindergarten – $140
First grade – $169
Second grade – $160
Third grade – $163
Fourth grade – $159
Fifth grade – $161
Sixth grade – $157
Seventh grade – $114-152 (varies with the student’s schedule)
Eighth grade – $111-155 (varies with the student’s schedule)
Ninth grade – $54 + other fees per class requirement
Tenth grade – $58 + other fees per class requirement
Eleventh grade – $112 + other fees per class requirement
Twelfth grade – $148 + other fees per class requirement
