The Marshall County Commissioners will consider lowering the speed limit on Del-Lo-Me Lane as a resident raised concerns about the current speed.
Jessica Sills said there are 10 houses on the road and feels that 30 mph speed limit is a bit much. She said there are children who are under the age of 15 at half of the houses on the block. The road isn’t long enough to get up to that speed but since it is posted she thinks that people will attempt to go that fast anyway. She believes a 15 mph speed limit would be sufficient.
The commissioners asked Highway Supervisor Jason Peters to do conduct traffic and speed counts on the road. Once that information comes back the commissioners will have a better understanding of what choice would be the best for that area.
