Plymouth School Board to Hold Public Hearing on New Jr. High Building

The Plymouth Community School Board will hear public comment tonight on the proposed replacement of the Lincoln Jr. High School.

The hearing will also welcome public input on the plans for the renovations of and improvements to the Plymouth High School, Riverside Intermediate School and Washington Discovery Academy. A portion of the Lincoln Jr. High School is also expected to be renovated as part of this project to preserve the history of the school.

A resolution will be considered making a preliminary determination to enter into a lease agreement and to issue bonds related to this project.

Representatives of Umbaugh and Associates will present information relating to the cost and the affect the project will have on taxes.

The public hearing will open at 7 p.m. in the board room in the administration building.

The board will hold their regular meeting following the public hearing where they will consider breakfast and lunch prices for the next school year, discuss summer school information, approve an asphalt bid for the Plymouth High School and approve a field turf authorization resolution. New and revised technology polices and guidelines will be considered for a second reading.
