Plymouth City Council Renews Contract for Employee Special Services

The Plymouth City Council approved the services of New Avenues to provide an employee assistance program.

City Attorney Sean Surrisi said the program is quite beneficial to employees.

“It provides up to three confidential counseling services or other planning service and assistance,” said Surrisi. “If an employee is having an issue in their personal life, they can confidentially contact the service and get some help. It also has a website that has financial planning and lots of other helpful tools. It covers the employee and any of their immediate family members living in the household.”

The funding for this program is already in the budget for the year. The fee is $2.65 per employee per month.
