The Bremen Redevelopment Commission will hold meeting on Tuesday, May 2 to discuss updates to the lift stations within the town’s wastewater system.
Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy said the project is anticipated to cost around $1 million.
“We have to replace or improve lift stations for our wastewater system,” explained Weldy. “We have nine lift stations in town and in the TIF area there are seven of them so we have about $1 million worth of work to replace these lift areas and pumps and rehab them all. We have to make sure they’re ready to go. They’re all in the aging category of 40 to 50 years. It’s time to rebuild. We need to keep everything up to date here.”
The meeting is at 5 p.m. at the Bremen Town Hall.
