Culver EMS officials sought approval from the Culver Town Council to hire a paramedic for the third full-time ALS position.
Interviews are being conducted to backfill the full-time spot as the current paramedic will be filling a part-time paid position.
The roster will be cleared of any employees who have not turned in any availability notice to EMS officials in the last 60 days. They are required to submit at least one availability notice a month. There are some who have not been available for a longer period of time.
The Culver Town Council members unanimously approved both requests. The council will be updated on the progress at the next meeting.
