Bremen residents are invited to take part in an event to rid the town of unwanted items.
Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy said Trash Days is set for Friday, May 12 and Saturday, May 13. It’s an opportunity for residents to do some spring cleaning. Throw away any property that is simply taking up space.
Weldy said there are a few items that the town will not accept.
“We won’t take gas cylinders or rims from tires,” said Weldy. “We’ll take everything else including tires. We’ll also do shredding that day. People can bring anything that needs to be shredded. It’s all free, but you have to be a resident of the Town of Bremen. We will check I.D.s.”
The event will be held from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day. Weldy said the town usually collects 40 yard containers full of items.
